What is AI ?
AI builds smart machines that are capable of learning from experience, adjust to new inputs, and perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. The term came into existence in 1956, but only recently has it gained much popularity. All this is possible due to a surge in data volumes, ultra-modern algorithms, and refinements in computing power and storage.

The accuracy level improves as the usage increases. Nowadays, the medical field implements AI techniques from deep learning and object recognition to pinpoint cancer on medical images with improved accuracy.
AI is able to extract the most out of data. The data is an asset as the algorithms are self-learning. All the answers are already there in the data, one just has to apply AI to search them. Many companies such as Amazon and Walmart are spending hugely on drone delivery programs. It is no longer a far-fetched program as the militaries all over the world have already implemented drone programs. More than 500,000 Tesla cars are alone running in the US and the number is about to increase exponentially. With the number of autonomous cars and drones flying above us, it is clear that AI is impacting our lives hugely.
Smart Home Devices
Today people are voluntarily letting artificial intelligence in houses. The smart home devices that we use today apply artificial intelligence to understand our behavior and thus adjust the settings to make the experience as seamless as possible for us. There are many smart voice assistants that are used to control smart home devices, and these are the major examples of AI impacting our lives.
Some of the examples from our daily lives include smart thermostats which can adjust the temperature based on preferences. Then there are smart lights that can change the intensity and color of lights based on time and much more. In a few decades, the main interactions with the home devices will be through AI only.

AI is playing a big part in the AI surveillance system. For humans it is impossible to monitor multiple monitors with feeds from hundreds or thousands of cameras at the same time.
